The Litigation Practice Group (the “LPG”) is a team of experienced commercial litigators and legal professionals who serve as McDonald’s internal subject matter experts in the area of litigation. The team handles a wide variety of commercial disputes, both in the US and globally. These include consumer and employment class action cases; trademark, patent and copyright claims; franchising disputes; breach of contract, fraud, unfair business practices and other business tort litigation; supplier disputes; Congressional inquiries and government investigations; securities litigation; real estate disputes; and Sarbanes/Oxley whistleblower litigation. The primary objective of the LPG’s work is to cost-effectively promote the company’s interests in litigation and other disputes, to resolve disputes in areas where the company might be able to avoid litigation, and to mitigate risk and potential damages in matters where the company is unable to avoid litigation.
